To provide a shaft for a golf club which is effective in launch angle, backspin amount, and carry by changing the position of a warpage peak of the shaft for the golf club, and the golf club using the same.SOLUTION: A shaft 10 for a golf club includes a conical-cylindrical tapered part 11, and a cylindrical parallel part 12 integrally formed with the tapered part 11. A parallel length L being a predefined length is formed so as to be larger than the length of a normal parallel part. Examples of the parallel length being the predefined length as the parallel length L include about 90 mm, about 120 mm and about 180 mm with respect to about 60 mm of a length of a general parallel part. As a result of study, the longer parallel length causes a higher launch angle, and the longer parallel length causes a more backspin amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
