To provide a wireless communication unit that can prevent an internal wireless base station module and an EPC module malfunctioning or operating as a radio wave interference source for other wireless systems when abnormality such as malfunction of a cooling device or temperature rise occurs inside a portable housing.SOLUTION: A wireless communication unit according to the present invention can effectively cools a wireless drive system module group by arranging the wireless drive system module group that generates a large amount of heat on a windward side of the cooling air formed by a cooling fan attached to a portable housing. Then, due to separation of a control system module group on a leeward side, it is possible to prevent excessive temperature rise of the control system module group.
