To provide a pressure type rice cooker that can further improve taste of boiled rice.SOLUTION: A pressure type rice cooker according to the present invention comprises a pan, a lid body for openably/closably covering an opening part of the pan, a heating part for heating the pan, a pressure valve for opening/closing a steam discharge hole for allowing communication between the inside of the pan and the inside of the lid body, and a control part for controlling the heating part and the pressure valve to perform a rice cooking step including a boiling keeping step and a steaming step. The control part is constituted so as to control the pressure valve to open the steam discharge hole immediately before completion of the boiling keeping step, and proceed to the steaming step when a pressure in the pan is reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
