To reduce inter-harmonic noise introduced by a long-term predictor-based conversion audio codec which operates in time domain.SOLUTION: Provided is a device for processing an audio signal associated with pitch lag information and gain information, which includes: a region converter 100 for converting a representation of a first region of an audio signal into a representation of a second region of the audio signal; and a harmonic post filter 104 for filtering the representation of the second region of the audio signal. The harmonic post filter is based on a transfer function which includes the numerator and denominator. The numerator contains a gain value indicated by gain information, and the denominator includes a multi-tap filter which depends on an integer portion of the pitch lag and the fractional portion of the pitch lag indicated by the pitch lag information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
