To provide a composite particle capable of forming a liquid-containing particle excellent in durability while preventing droplets from coalescing, and also to provide a manufacturing method of a liquid-containing particle.SOLUTION: A composite particle includes a hydrophobic solid particle B12 on a surface of a hydrophobic solid particle A11. A contact angle of a hydrophobic solid particle A to water and a contact angle of a hydrophobic solid particle B to water are both 110° to 180°. A ratio (d50a/d50b) of a number average particle diameter of the hydrophobic solid particle A to a number average particle diameter of the hydrophobic solid particle B is 10 to 100, and a coverage factor CR is 50 to 500%. Xa, Xb, Ya, Yb, Za and Zb respectively denote a mass (g) of the hydrophobic solid particle A, a mass of the hydrophobic solid particle B, a density (g/μm3) of the hydrophobic solid particle A, a density of the hydrophobic solid particle B, a cubic volume (μm3) of the hydrophobic solid particle A, and a cubic volume of the hydrophobic solid particle B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1B
