To provide a polyphenylene ether-based resin composition that is excellent in fire retardancy in a thin-wall molded product even if used for a non-reinforced resin material, wherein the molded product exhibits less appearance degradation.SOLUTION: A polyphenylene ether-based resin composition comprises (A) 20-95 mass% of polyphenylene ether, (B) 0-60 mass% of a styrenic resin, and (C) 5-20 mass% of a flame retardant, wherein the flame retardant (C) contains, in 100 mass% thereof: 65-92 mass% of bisphenol-A bis-diphenyl phosphate (C-1) and 8-35 mass% of a condensed phosphoric ester-based flame retardant (C-2) expressed by the following formula. In the polyphenylene ether-based resin composition, a residual amount thereof when burned at 650°C for 3 hours in an electric furnace is less than 1 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
