To provide a suspended load moving apparatus capable of relocating a removal member, which is lifted at the end in the cross direction, to the vicinity of the center of a bridge face (in a direction perpendicular to a bridge-axis) without installing a crane outside a bridge, and a method of removing an existing bridge using the same.SOLUTION: A suspended load moving apparatus of the present invention comprises a horizontal expanding means, a suspending rope, and mobile fixing means. The horizontal expanding means is means for expanding a horizontal span between a first pulley and a second pulley, and the mobile fixing means is configured to include a support base and a moving body horizontally moving on the support base, and a first tip of the suspending rope is attached to the moving body of the mobile fixing means. When the horizontal expanding means reduces the horizontal span, the moving body moves to the side closer to the center of the cross section, and the suspended load held by a suspending tool also moves to the side closer to the center of the cross section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
