System and method for increasing the efficiency of the user while operating the oral hygiene device (10) is provided. In an exemplary embodiment, the operation information of the oral hygiene device is received from one or more accelerometers than located within the oral hygiene device (32). The received information is compared with the target operation of the oral hygiene device. Next, the user operating the oral hygiene device, in response to determining that the operation information received is within a predetermined range of the target operation information, feedback is provided.
