PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a compound for coating type transparent film formation capable of forming a transparent film having high transparency, high refraction index and low haze at low temperature, and having high storage stability.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing a compound for coating type transparent film formation including a process of mixing (A) metal alkoxide, (B) alcohol, (C) water and (D) a salt obtained by reacting strong acid and weak base in the range of 35 to 250 mol of the alcohol (B), 0.5 to 5 mol of water (C) and 0.01 to 0.1 mol of the salt (D) based on 1 mol of the metal alkoxide (A).
