PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption while keeping provision of communication for a radio terminal.SOLUTION: An access point device comprises: a storage battery information monitoring unit for acquiring a power amount of a storage battery; a power source information monitoring unit for acquiring a power amount supplied by a power source; and a sleep information processing unit which determines whether or not a radio terminal connected to the access point device can be connected to another device when communication with the radio terminal is not performed, transmits a connection switching notification for requesting to switch a connection destination of the radio terminal to the other device to the other device, and makes the access point device sleep when the radio terminal can be connected to the other device. On the basis of the power amount acquired by the storage battery information monitoring unit and the power amount acquired by the power source information monitoring unit, the sleep information processing unit calculates storage battery exhaustion required time, which is time until the access point device becomes incapable of operating because of shortage of power, and determines whether or not the radio terminal connected to the access point device can be connected to the other device on the basis of storage battery exhaustion required time of the other device.
