PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure a sensor unit that allows proper formation of a sensing surface of an external surface of a sensor housing part.SOLUTION: A case 20 made of resin is formed in an annular fixing member 10. A sensor housing part 20S for housing a sensor is formed inside the case 20. A sensing surface 21F facing a detection object is formed at the sensor housing part 20S. A position for charging the resin making up the case 20 is set on a location outward in a circumferential direction, regarding a middle position in a width direction of the sensing surface 21F as a standard. Specifically, the resin is charged into the fixing member 10 through a gate arranged on an extension line of a first open hole H1 formed in a position corresponding to the position for charging.
