PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily openable carton that permits use of general purpose adhesive so as to reduce costs.SOLUTION: A carton 1 is formed of a wrapping material 30 in which a printing layer 32 printed on the upper surface of a paper base material is covered with a press coat layer 33 composed of thermoset resin. The carton 1 is formed by bonding the outer surface and inner surface of the wrapping material 30 with adhesive interposed therebetween at an end part of the wrapping material 30. The wrapping material 30 includes a release layer 34 which is disposed between the printing layer 32 and the press coat layer 33 so as to be opposed to a part of the adhesive, and which has lower bond strength with respect to the press coat layer 33 than the printing layer 32.
