PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem of a high breaking capacity fuse for preventing smoke generation and firing of a surge protection device, which may be used as an SPD separator, that it is impossible to use a ceramic tube as a container of a high breaking capacity fuse in order to ensure the performance of high breaking capacity, and blowout of a fuse-element cannot be confirmed visually due to filling with an arc-extinguishing agent, and that it takes time for attaching a high breaking capacity fuse, as it is, to a distribution board, or the like.SOLUTION: When housing a high breaking capacity fuse serving as an SPD separator in a container having a mounting size same as that of a circuit breaker, and connecting a resistor with a thermo-seal, the color of which changes with heat generated when feeding a current of several hundreds milli-amperes after operation of the high breaking capacity fuse, and a slow-response fuse of rated current that blows out after feeding a current of several hundreds milli-amperes for several seconds, in parallel with the high breaking capacity fuse, operation (blowout) of the SPD separator can be visually confirmed easily by color change of the thermo-seal, and attachment and replacement can be carried out easily in safety.
