PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide use for reduction or inhibition of activin-ActRIIa antagonist and FSH secretion.SOLUTION: In an aspect, the present invention provides a composition and a method for decreasing an FSH level in a patient. The patient, for example, may be diagnosed as having FSH related disorders or may desire retardation or inhibition of reproductive cell maturation. In an aspect, the present disclosure provides a method of reduction or inhibition of FSH secretion using a polypeptide comprising a soluble activin-binding ActRIIa polypeptide binding to activin. In another aspect, the present disclosure provides a method of decreasing an FSH level in a human subject having FSH related disorders.
