PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an electronic apparatus which can effectively use a resource of an external display device.SOLUTION: In an embodiment, the electronic apparatus receives video content data. The electronic apparatus generates first video data by reproducing the video content data. The electronic apparatus displays a video corresponding to the first video data on a screen of its display. The electronic apparatus transmits image data including the first video data to an external display device. The electronic apparatus transmits a mode change request including identification information for identifying the video content data to the external display device, so that an operation mode of the external display device changes from a first mode in which a screen of the external display device displays a video corresponding to the image data, to a second mode in which the screen of the external display device displays a video corresponding to second video data that can be acquired when a resource of the external display device receives and reproduces the video content data.
