PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a work portion of an automatic twill winder so as to guarantee that a device provided in an area of the work portion is securely and appropriately operated at any time even under difficult surrounding conditions.SOLUTION: In a work portion of an automatic twill winder, the work portion 2 has pneumatic valves 41, 42 and 43, the pneumatic valves are automatically operated through a drive device 30 for changing an angle position of a rotary magazine 3 and connected to pneumatic cylinders 11, 12 and 14 in an area of the work portion 2 through air conduits 44, 45 and 46, the first pneumatic valve 41 is connected to the first pneumatic cylinder 14 for operating a winding pipe insertion spindle 10, and the second pneumatic valve 42 is connected with the second pneumatic cylinder 12 for operating a winding pipe ejector 9.
