PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball, in which mass is selectively arranged to achieve preferable flight properties and spin control properties.SOLUTION: Multi-piece golf balls 12 containing a multi-layered core 14 or a dual-core are provided. The cores 14 have selective weighting configurations (SWC). Particularly, the core layers 14a, 14b, 14c are made of different compositions having different specific gravity levels or densities. Preferably, rubber and high neutralized ethylene acid copolymer compositions are used to form at least one layer in the core 14. The rubber and ionomer compositions may be loaded with fillers to adjust the specific gravity levels.
