PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic agent sustaining antistaticity over a long period, and not spoiling the appearance and transparency even if being kneaded in a resin, and to provide a resin composition containing the same.SOLUTION: The antistatic agent is composed of a block copolymer obtained from an ester compound which is a reaction product of the following (a) and (b), or (a), (b) and (c), and is obtained by neutralizing a part or the whole of a residual acid group in the ester compound with an alkaline substance. The thermoplastic resin composition contains the antistatic agent. A film and a sheet are composed of the thermoplastic resin composition. (a) A polyolefin whose one terminal is modified with an acid. (b) An alkylene oxide addition of a 3- to 20-valent hydric alcohol. (c) A compound reactive with (a) and/or (b).
