PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasoline composition which excels in an environmental performance that the emission of carbon dioxide (CO) is greatly decreased or the like, in which the operability and the oxidation stability are excellent, and further which has excellent abrasion resistance.SOLUTION: The gasoline composition includes: 5-25 vol% of isobutyl alcohol; 5-25 vol% of desulfurization heavy naphtha having a boiling range of 70-150°C; and a gasoline base other than the desulfurization heavy naphtha, and meets the following requirements of (1)-(8). (1) A research method octane number is at least 89 and less than 93. (2) Sulfur content is at most 10 ppm by mass. (3) Aromatic content is at most 15 vol%. (4) Benzene content is at most 1.0 vol%. (5) Olefin content is at most 20 vol%. (6) A Reid vapor pressure (RVP) is 60-90 kPa. (7) A density (15°C) is at least 0.700 g/mL. (8) A 30% distillate temperature is 40-85°C, a 50% distillate temperature is 75-95°C, a 70% distillate temperature is 95-120°C, and a 90% distillate temperature is 110-170°C.
