PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial x-ray tube that is small in size and lightweight, and provides a large X-ray emission amount.SOLUTION: An industrial X-ray tube 1 houses a cathode 4A and an anode 6 inside a container 2 in which the interior is vacuated, and generates X-rays from this anode by applying electrons generated in the cathode 4A to the anode 6. The industrial X-ray tube 1 includes an electron travel adjustment member 8 provided around an electron emission face 4a of the cathode 4A to adjust the travel of electrons, and a magnetic lens 13 provided between the cathode 4A and the anode 6 to focus electrons. Cathodes 4A to 4E are formed by carbon or a carbon compound. The electron emission faces 4a of the cathodes 4A to 4E are flat surfaces. The central part of the electron emission face 4a is a face that does not emit electrons.
