PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing which is adapted to easily adjust a friction coefficient to obtain an optimum friction coefficient, to secure a smooth steering operation equivalent to that of a rolling bearing even if built in a strut-type suspension as a thrust sliding bearing, and to easily adjust to the optimum friction coefficient to eliminate a flutter phenomenon of a steering wheel. SOLUTION: The sliding bearing 1 includes an upper case 3 serving as a first bearing body made of polyacetal resin as synthetic resin and having an annular surface 2; a second bearing body 5 superposed on the upper case 3 rotatably in a direction R around an axis O and having an annular surface 4 made of synthetic resin and facing the annular surface 2; and an annular sheet 6 made of synthetic resin and interposed between both annular surfaces 2, 4 while slidably abutting on at least one of the upper case 3 and bearing body 5.
