PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating mammals with cancer and infections. SOLUTION: There is provided the method for using a molecule having an IL-21 functional activity. The molecule having the IL-21 functional activity includes a polypeptide having the homology to the human IL-21 polypeptide sequence and a protein fused to a polypeptide having the IL-21 functional activity.
