PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lingual cancer cell proliferation inhibitor having a novel component having inhibition of the proliferation of SCCKN which is a cell line of lingual cancer and furthermore high safety as an active ingredient.
SOLUTION: The lingual cancer cell proliferation inhibitor includes a sphingolipid (including a sphingoglycolipid) derived from a plant as an active ingredient. The plant is preferably rice. Further, this lingual cancer cell proliferation inhibitor can be used as a lingual cancer preventive-therapeutic agent.
