PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive coating apparatus which can reduce the blemish of a conventional technique and keep especially an adhesive stockpile section composed in compact.
SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 which coats the region near the back of the side face of an inner book 100 with an adhesive 200 includes: an adhesive stockpile section 6; and an adhesive coated disks 2 and 3 which make the adhesive 200 transfer from the adhesive stockpile section 6 to the side face of each inner book 100, and are actuated with the driving device 7. The mutual interval a of both adhesive coated disks 2 and 3 can be adjusted according to the thickness b of the inner book by a position adjusting apparatus 8. The shaft of the driving device 7 and the shaft of the position adjusting apparatus 8 are on the same straight line and fit each other into an insert type.
