PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain air, steadily supplied from an artificial respirator, from flowing into an air passage 23. SOLUTION: This airway adapter 10 mounted with a measuring part for measuring the concentration of a specific component in the respiratory air of a subject or the flow rate of respiratory air, includes a tubular member 20 formed inside with the air passage 23 for ventilating the respiratory air, and provided, at one end, with a first opening 25 for introducing intake air supplied to the subject, into the air passage 23 and provided, at the other end, with a second opening 26 for introducing the exhaled air of the subject into the air passage 23; and a partial shielding member 27 provided on the first opening 25 side to block a part of the air passage 23.
