PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mop for making soil inconspicuous during use, and to provide a method for appropriately regenerating the used mop.
SOLUTION: The mop includes: a base fabric; and mop threads 2 attached to the base fabric and configured by twisting a plurality of threads. The mop threads 2 is composed of the threads 21 and 22 of similar colors of different shades. When regenerating the one already used as the mop so as to recycle it, it is supplied to a dyeing step of dyeing the mop yarns 2 to the similar light colors.
