The present invention used a sodium conducting electrochemical cell (10), it relates to a method for synthesizing synthesis gas from carbon dioxide and water obtained from atmospheric air. Synthesis gas within the solid oxide fuel cell or a solid oxide electrochemical cell, is synthesized by co electrolyte of carbon dioxide and water vapor. Synthesis gas produced is post-processed, and finally is converted into a liquid fuel so as suitable for transport and other uses.
