PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a thermoplastic composition molded article capable of performing injection-molding while maintaining mechanical characteristic possessed by the thermoplastic resin utilizing a precursor molded body containing a vegetable fiber and the thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for the thermoplastic composition molded article is provided with a chipping step of making a chip 41 by finely crushing at least one precursor molded article 40 of a mat molded article and a board molded article containing the vegetable fiber and the thermoplastic resin, a non-heating pelletization step of pressing/solidifying the chip 41 without heating it to obtain a pellet 42, and an injection molding step of injection-molding the pellet 42 to form the thermoplastic composition molded article.
