PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regeneration catalyst for a working solution for regenerating alkyl oxyanthrone and alkyl tetrahydro anthraquinone to alkyl anthraquinone, and alkyl tetrahydro anthraquinone epoxide to alkyl tetrahydro anthraquinone, in manufacture of hydrogen peroxide by the anthraquinone method. SOLUTION: A method for making a regeneration catalyst for regenerating the working solution used for making hydrogen peroxide by an anthraquinone method comprises the step of treating active alumina with an aqueous solution containing 20 wt.% or more of a magnesium salt before treating with ammonia and burning.
