PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AV apparatus having a function which can reproduce at least either one of image and audio, and which enables an electronic apparatus used as a transmitting side to readily judge whether the AV apparatus itself is set up by a user so as not to be used for listening the audio to simplify handling by the user.
SOLUTION: This AV apparatus is provided with receiving means (16, 28) for receiving digital image signals and digital audio signals, storage means (23, 35) for storing information to the effect when the audio is set in mute state, and control means (22, 34) for outputting the information stored in the storage means (23, 35) to the outside.
