PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimony phosphate-based glass composition containing no lead oxide, having satisfactory weatherability and a low melting temperature, meltable in an ordinary atmosphere, and useful also as a sealing glass, by eliminating the defect of the conventional phosphate-based glass.
SOLUTION: The antimony phosphate-based glass composition contains, by weight, 20 to 50% P
2 O
5 , 20 to 70% Sb
2 O
3 , 0.3 to 5% Al
2 O
3 , 0.5 to 15% MgO, at least one kind selected from ZrO
2 and TiO
2 by 0.5 to 5%, and at least one kind selected from CaO, SrO, BaO, ZnO, Li
2 O, Na
2 O and K
2 O by 2 to 30%.
