PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the modular constitution of a cylinder printing press for printing a sheet such as a securities sheet, etc. applicable to a small-sized machine.
SOLUTION: The printing press includes a first supply unit for an unprinted sheet, a plate cylinder having a printing plate, an impression cylinder, a wiping device, and an inking system for giving ink to the necessary region of the printing plate carried by the plate cylinder, and, further, includes a second supply unit. An intervening sheet not printed by the printing plate is introduced between respective sheets not printed by the printing plate of the plate cylinder by the second supply unit. The printing press further includes a delivery stack for loading the sheet from the impression cylinder after the impression cylinder is rotated at one rotation. The sheet is carried to the delivery stack by a chain gripper system, and the second supply unit is constituted to supply the intervening sheet to the chain gripper system at the upstream of the impression cylinder.
