PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device capable of more precisely controlling fuel injection rate characteristics.
SOLUTION: A back pressure chamber 3 is normally communicated to a common pressure accumulation chamber 2. A variable orifice 33 capable of changing opening area is provided between the common pressure accumulation chamber 2 and the back pressure chamber 3. Flow rate of fuel flowing between the common pressure accumulation chamber 2 and the back pressure chamber 3 can be more precisely controlled by changing opening area of the variable orifice 33 and traveling speed of a needle can be more precisely controlled.
