PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable dryer excellent in operability, which can securely detect ignition when a burner is ignited.
SOLUTION: The portable dryer 10 includes: a burner for combustion of gas provided from a gas cylinder 13; an ignition mechanism 20 for igniting the burner; an ignition detection part for detecting ignition of the burner; a fan 15b for blowing hot air, which is heated around the burner by combustion of the gas, from a blow-out port 14; and a control part 50 for controlling the frequency of a motor 15a for driving the fan 15b. The ignition detection part detects an ignition of the burner by switching ignition detection conditions in multi-stages.
