PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a combustion process to achieve the optimum combustion of solid fuel and flue gas, suppress generation/exhaust of nitrogen oxide as much as possible, and realize safe operation by an excessively low rate of air (excess air = 1.3-1.5) and low quantity of flue gas.
SOLUTION: This combustion system has a combustion fire grate, a hopper being below the combustion fire grate to supply gas for primary combustion through the fire grate, and a nozzle communicating with an incinerator above the combustion fire grate to supply gas for secondary combustion. At least one extraction duct for flue gas is provided in a rear end part of the incinerator above the combustion fire grate. This duct is connected with a suction side of a fan. A pressing side is connected with a nozzle arranged in an upper part region of a flue gas passage. After supplying secondary gas by height of the nozzle, residence time for at least one second is given to the flue gas.
