PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the effect of noise and distortion, outside the fundamental frequency range, in the load control system which controls electric power supplied to a load, from an AC line.
SOLUTION: This system includes a filter to provide a linear phase delay to an AC line, wherein one of the selected AC fundamental waveform or second harmonic frequency of AC fundamental components passes and the frequency component equal to third harmonics and greater of the fundamental frequency is substantially attenuated, to control a conductive device directly connected to the AC line and a load in response to a zero crossing indication by a zero crossing detector connected to an output of the filter.
