PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily manufacturable driving belt having high rupture strength and to provide a manufacturing method for the driving belt.
SOLUTION: This driving belt B1 is provided with an annular metal cord C1 and a coated part 70. The annular metal cord C1 is formed when an outer layer part 4 covering the outer circumferential face of an annular core part 3 is formed and then a start end part and a terminal end part of a strand material 1 are connected together by means of a connecting member 7. The outer layer part 4 is formed when the strand material 1 continuing from the annular core part 3 is wound around the annular core part 3 six times spirally while forming the annular core part 3 by winding the strand material 1, which is formed by twisting six metal strands 5 together, with a predetermined annular diameter and temporarily fixing its start end part.
