PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polytetrafluoroethylene powder which can be used for producing a molded product with improved surface roughness Ra, tensile strength and/or tensile elongation, as compared with a conventional powder and with favorable dielectric breakdown strength, and optionally further with excellent apparent density and/or powder fluidity, and a process for production of a powder of polytetrafluoroethylene for use in molding.
