PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength steel sheet which enables the residual stress inside a formed component to be reduced while maintaining the high formability of TRIP steel, thus enables spring back of the formed component to be reduced. SOLUTION: The high strength steel sheet having excellent formability and shape fixability has a structure mainly made up of a ferrite phase of 20 to 97% in terms of a C volume fraction and a residual austenite phase of ≥3%, wherein the ratio of the crystal grains having an aspect ratio of ≤2.5 in the part other than the ferrite phase is 50 to 95%, and preferably containing, by mass, 0.05 to 0.30% C, ≤2.0% Si, 0.8 to 3.0% Mn, 0.003 to 0.1% P, ≤0.01% S, 0.01 to 2.50% Al and ≤0.007% N, and wherein Si and Al satisfy the relation of Si+Al≥0.50 mass%.
