PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral composition promoting evacuation and suppressing abdominal inflation. SOLUTION: The oral composition comprises a patchouli oil and a dietary fiber. The oral composition can increase the number of times of evacuation of a person having a tendency of constipation and suppress decrease in the number of times of evacuation of a normal person having no tendency of constipation (maintain the normal number of times of evacuation and prevent constipation) and suppresses abdominal inflation owing to the dietary fiber. As the dietary fiber, there can be exemplified a water-soluble dietary fiber, such as guar gum, locust bean gum, tamarind gum, tara gum, xanthan gum, glucomannan, carrageenan, alginic acid or a salt thereof, pectin, collagen, polydextrose, pullulan, arabic gum or sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, and an insoluble dietary fiber such as cellulose, lignin, chitin, chitosan, hemicellulose, α-cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose, methyl cellulose, hydroxymethyl cellulose or hydroxyethyl cellulose.
