PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air refrigerant type refrigerator suitable for continuous operation for a long period.
SOLUTION: A cyclone type dust collector is interposed in a circulation route for the air refrigerant of the air refrigerant type refrigerator. Means for promoting the solidification of moisture content in an air refrigerant are installed on the front stage of the cyclone. These means include a humidifier, a fine particle sprayer, or a bar-like member installed in a pipe. Accordingly, the moisture content is solidified and grown to ice particles of a grain size suitable for collecting them by the cyclone. The ice particles are collected by the cyclone and dry air is supplied to the refrigerator. In this refrigerator, since the supply of cooling air is not stopped for defrosting, dry cooling air is continuously supplied to the refrigerator over a long period.
