PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-tea-based packaged beverage comprising an acidifier and highly concentrated catechin, maintaining freshness peculiar to sour feeling even after its long preservation, having no aftertaste of the sour feeling caused when drunk on a sport scene, excellent in refreshing feeling in the mouth, and excellent in color tone stability in spite of being packaged in a oxygen-permeable transparent container. SOLUTION: The non-tea-based packaged beverage has pH 2-6, comprises nonpolymer catechin in its solids, is obtained through being formulated with purified substance of green tea extract having a content weight ratio of chinic acid (B) to nonpolymer catechins (A) [(B)/(A)] of 0-0.018, and contains the following ingredients: the nonpolymer catechin, the chinic acid or its salt, sweetener, acidifier, sodium ion and potassium ion each at a specific concentration.
