PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of a purge solution circulating apparatus for an artificial organ by ensuring the control of the nature of the purge solution. SOLUTION: A purge solution which circulates within purge solution circulating passages 90, 91, 93, 94 is filtered by a protein removal filter 71 such as an ultrafiltration filter, to remove proteins that enter the purge solution, and the purge solution free from the proteins is supplied to an artificial heart 1 to prevent protein coagulation and deposition on a sealing mechanism or the like inside it, thereby preventing its functional degradation.
