PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-colored fabric which consists mainly of polyamide-based fibers and whose amino terminal group content is limited to improve a thermal deterioration-preventing property, and to provide a method for producing the same.
SOLUTION: This thermal deterioration-preventing polyamide fabric consisting mainly of polyamide-based fibers is characterized by being produced from a polyamide having a lightness V value of ≥7 and having amino terminal groups in an amount of 30 meq/kg, and having a tensile strength retention rate of ≥75% after exposed to a 180°C environment for one hr. The method for producing the thermal deterioration-preventing polyamide fabric is characterized by treating a fabric consisting of the polyamide-based fibers with a treating solution having a fixing agent solid content concentration of ≥0.5 wt.% (based on the fibers) at 50 to 100°C for ≥10 min.
