PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve type lead-acid storage battery or a liquid type lead-acid storage battery having an electrode ear part and a strap exposed on electrolyte solution, while the problem wherein intergranular corrosion at the interface of the electrode ear part and the strap exerts serious effect on the life of the lead-acid storage battery, is solved.
SOLUTION: On the lead-acid storage battery, on which the electrode ear part and the strap are formed integrally, a content each of calcium (mass%) and tin (mass%) included in the electrode ear part and the strap depend on the relations: 0.03mass%≤X
1 ≤0.1mass% and 0.03mass%≤X
2 ≤0.1mass%; and 15X
1 ≤Y
1 ≤7X
1 +1.8 and 15X
