PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass paste composition of which the glass powder content can be increased while its paste state being kept well and which can shorten the solvent drying step in producing a partition, can give a dense partition after baking, and can reduce the volatilization of a harmful organic compound into air in the drying and baking step of the composition.
SOLUTION: The glass paste composition contains a glass powder, an organic resin, and a solvent containing a compound represented by structural formula (1) (wherein R
1 is a 1-12C alkyl or alkenyl group or a 6-9C aryl group; R
2 is a 7-21C alkyl or alkenyl group; R
3 is a 2-4C alkylene group; and n is an integer of 0-20).
