PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass composition for a plasma display panel (PDP) which is environment-friendly, has a high discharge efficiency and is used as various PDP dielectric materials and a fabrication method thereof.
SOLUTION: The glass composition for a PDP comprises a ZnO-B
2 O
3 group and an alkaline earth metal oxide, particularly 10-40 mol% each of ZnO and B
2 O
3 having a ratio of 0.5-1.5, 10-25 mol% alkaline earth metal oxide, ≤15 mol% Bi
2 O
3 and ≤10 mol% additive to heighten the glass durability and to prevent the crystallization.
