PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a strand coating system for applying an adhesive to a strand. SOLUTION: The strand coating system is provided with an adhesive dispensing device having an adhesive dispensing orifice, a strand guide member and a strand axial orientation aligning member coupled to the adhesive dispensing device. The strand axial orientation aligning member is positioned to be nearly aligned with the adhesive dispensing orifice and is arranged between the strand guide member and the adhesive dispensing orifice.
