PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool coupling mechanism for connecting two boom members of a split-boom power tool. SOLUTION: This coupling mechanism 18 includes a first part and a second part. The first part is fixedly mounted at an end part of a first boom member 14. The first part includes a through-hole for storing a positioning member on a second boom member 16. The second part is movably connected to the first part. When the second part is moved from a first position to a second position, the second part is made to push the positioning member while locating the positioning member within the through-hole of the first part.
