PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber block aligning device allowed to be manufactured at low costs and capable of improving alignment quality.
SOLUTION: The aligning device for aligning a plane optical waveguide element and an optical fiber block is provided with a lower plate, a sliding table arranged on the lower plate so as to be horizontally moved, an upper plate fixed on the sliding table, and an optical fiber block fixing jig fixed on a rotating means arranged on the horizontal surface of the upper plate and fixing the optical fiber block.
